【摘要】:Uponmutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller,wovenfabricsintendedforthisenduseshouldmeetalloftherequirementslistedinTable1ofthisspecification.ItisrecognizedthatforpurposesoffashionoraestheticstheultimateconsumerofarticlesmadefromthesefabricsmayfindacceptablefabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Therefore,oneormoreoftherequirementslistedinTable1maybemodifiedbymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.Insuchcases,anyreferencestothespecificationshallspecifythat:ThisfabricmeetsASTMSpecificationD3785exceptforthefollowingcharacteristic(s).Wherenoprepurchaseagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller,andincaseofcontroversy,therequirementslistedinTable1areintendedtobeusedasaguideonly.Asnotedin5.2,ultimateconsumerdemandsdictatevaryingperformanceparametersforanyparticularstyleoffabric.Thesignificanceanduseofparticularpropertiesandtestmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecifiedtestmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoverswovennecktieandscarffabricscomposedofanytextilefiberormixtureoftextilefibers.1.2Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletowovenfabricsusedforinterlinings.1.3Theserequirementsapplytothelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosepropertieswherefabricdirectionispertinent.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section7,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
