【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtotestasphaltconcretemixturesinconjunctionwithmixturedesigntestingtodeterminethepotentialformoisturedamage,todeterminewhetherornotanantistrippingadditiveiseffective,andtodeterminewhatdosageofanadditiveisneededtomaximizetheeffectiveness.Thistestmethodcanalsobeusedtotestmixturesproducedinplantstodeterminetheeffectivenessofadditivesundertheconditionsimposedinthefield.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresforpreparingandtestingasphaltconcretespecimensforthepurposeofmeasuringtheeffectofwateronthetensilestrengthofthepavingmixture.ThistestmethodisapplicabletodensemixturessuchasthoseappearingintheTableforCompositionofBituminousPavingMixturesinSpecificationD3515.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtoevaluatetheeffectofmoisturewithorwithoutantistrippingadditivesincludingliquidsandpulverulentsolidssuchashydratedlimeorportlandcement.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsinparenthesesshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
